Colorado Pinball Retreat 2026

Lyons Classic Pinball · Lyons, Colorado

Travel

Colorado Pinball Retreat runs June 26–28, 2026 at Lyons Classic Pinball. If you’re coming from out of town, here’s everything you need to plan the trip: airport, lodging, the venue itself, food in town, and what else to do while you’re here.

Getting here

Denver International Airport (DEN) is the airport to fly into. From the terminal, Lyons is about a 60-minute drive (longer in heavy traffic).

The most common route from DEN:

  • Peña Blvd out of the airport
  • E-470 northwest past I-25
  • US-36 northwest through Boulder into Lyons

Renting a car is strongly recommended. RTD bus service can get you from DEN to Boulder or Longmont, but you’ll still need a rideshare or local pickup for the last 20–30 minutes into Lyons. Once you’re here, having a car makes lodging, food, and side trips into the mountains much easier.

Where to stay

There is no event hotel block for CPR 2026, so book early. Late June is also peak Estes Park / Rocky Mountain National Park season and rooms move fast.

In Lyons (limited inventory):

Boulder or Longmont: about a 20–30 minute drive from the venue. Both have a much wider selection of standard chain hotels.

Airbnb / VRBO: plenty of options in Lyons and the surrounding canyons. Book early.

The venue

Lyons Classic Pinball 339 Main St Lyons, CO 80540

Street parking on Main St and the surrounding side streets.

Accessibility note: The building has two levels with no elevator. If you have accessibility needs, please email us ahead of time so we can plan accommodations.

Where to eat

Lyons is a small town, but it punches way above its weight on food. All within easy walking distance of the venue:

  • Oskar Blues Grill & Brew, 303 Main St (live music, full menu, the original Dale’s Pale Ale taproom)
  • The Rock Garden, 338 Main St (breakfast, coffee, beer, food truck, music)
  • St Vrain Market, Deli & Bakery, 455 Main St
  • Indian Bites II, 432 Main St
  • MainStage Brewing, 450 Main St
  • Moxie Bread Co., 442 High St
  • Barking Dog Cafe, 431 W Main St

Inside the venue, LCP sells snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. You’re welcome to bring outside food and drinks.

Travel tips

  • Elevation. Lyons sits more than a mile above sea level. Drink more water than feels normal, sleep well, and bring a refillable water bottle; there’s a fill station at the venue.
  • Weather. It can swing significantly across a single day in June. Bring layers; a t-shirt and a light jacket will both come in handy.
  • Sun. UV is strong at altitude. Sunscreen and chapstick are not optional if you’re going to be outside.

Things to do nearby

Lyons is known as the “Double Gateway to the Rockies”: both the North and South St. Vrain canyons head west out of town and into Rocky Mountain National Park. If you’re making a weekend of it, there’s a lot here.
